Description:
JOUW FUNCTIE
We are seeking a Research Technician with extensive experience in mammalian cell culture, molecular biology and analytical techniques. The successful applicant will be expected to work in close collaboration with PhD students, senior scientists and to support the supervision and teaching of BSc and MSc students.
JOUW PROFIEL
- a qualification in laboratory skills, i.e. Hoger Laboratorium Onderwijs or equivalent
- demonstrated hands-on experience with mammalian cell culture, preferably with iPSC
- experience with molecular and biochemical techniques, including immunostaining, Western Blotting, (q)PCR, high content imaging (advantage), LC-MS (advantage)
- strong communication, organizational and social skills
- high competence in either English or Dutch is an absolute requirement (both are preferred)
- team player with the ability to work independently
- strong motivation for scientific research
- teaching experience (advantage)

Responsibilities:
- play a constructive and responsible role in the daily management of the cell culture laboratories of the Division of Molecular Toxicology
- maintenance of induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC), differentiation of iPSC to specific tissue targets
- management of cell culture consumables, resources and plasticware including responsibilities for ordering
- plan experimental procedures and execute specific experimental tasks
- management and maintenance of laboratory equipment
- instruct and support PhD and MSc students in their experimental work
- support teaching staff in MSc and BSc supervision and practical courses
