Salary: Technician Grade 1 with a Salary Scale of €35,946 to €46,985

QUALIFICATIONS
- A Level 6 qualification, (as recognised on the National Framework of Qualifications or equivalent), in n Plant Science, Forestry, Agriculture, life sciences or a related discipline.
- A Level 8 qualification in Plant Science would be a distinct advantage
SKILLS
- Laboratory training in seed testing, molecular skills including DNA extraction, PCR, etc.
- People and resource management skills.
- Data handling and computer skills.
- Good laboratory Practices.
- Statistical analysis of datasets.
- Planning and execution of replicated experiments.
KNOWLEDGE
- Tree species seed germination and viability tests.
- Principles of seed testing.
- New emerging techniques in seed development, dormancy break down and germination test.
