Das fortiss IIoT-Team konzentriert sich auf die Entwicklung von Rechen- und Netzwerkarchitekturen für fortschrittliche IoT-Anwendungen und Anwendungsfälle in Sektoren wie Mobilität, Smart Cities, Fertigung, etc. Die Interessensgebiete des Teams umfassen, aber sind nicht beschränkt auf: Edge Computing, insbesondere dezentrale Edge-Architekturen; deterministische drahtlose Netzwerke (z. B. Wi-Fi 6, 5G/6G, LoRa/LoRaWAN); dynamische Container-Orchestrierung; informationszentrierte Netzwerke; Integration von ML am Edge, einschließlich des “Far Edge” (Endnutzer und Geräte auf Feldebene).
