Researcher to join the Product Innovation Support team at our Research Centre in Karlstad
Description
Our lab team working with chemical analysis and microscopy is part of Innovation and R&D in the Packaging Material division. Tasks involve supporting the development of new material as well as supporting the continuous production at the production units. As a member of the team you will be providing services to customers with a special focus on analytical chemistry. The position includes mostly practical laboratory work, evaluation of results and reporting to customer. You will be responsible for maintaining and developing the instrumental analyses and experimental methodology for critical product requirements, assessing test results, and communicating with stakeholders.
The position requires good interpersonal and cultural skills and the ability to structure your tasks. It also offers a good opportunity to further develop your skills while working with key stakeholders.
Who are we looking for?
We are looking for a person, who have very good experience of analytical chemical work. We are specifically looking for someone experienced in GC-MS, but the laboratory also includes spectroscopy, thermal analysis and different microscopy techniques. Your proficiency is based on a master’s degree in chemistry or analytical chemistry. You have excellent skills in Swedish and English language, the ability to act independently and with good own initiative and accuracy. You have good analytical skills and ability to collaborate in project work with colleagues within and outside Stora Enso’s research organization. Experience from the forest industry is an asset, but not a requirement to apply for this position.
