Job Description
We’re seeking a proactive and motivated individual who goes the extra mile to ensure our guests have a memorable stay. As a good listener with strong attention to detail, your confidence and “can do” attitude will be essential for delivering a guest-centric approach, ensuring success in this fast-paced role.
Located in the heart of Wellington’s central business district, looking after multi Accor Properties & working closely with the Revenue Team, you will be responsible for processing hotel reservations to ensure that hotel revenue opportunities are maximised at every stage.
This is a full time role working Monday to Friday (possibility of Saturday shift), waged at $27.32 per hour.
Key Duties:
- Handle incoming reservation inquiries via phone, email, and online platforms.
- Assist guests with booking accommodations, answering questions, and providing information about our hotel’s amenities and services.
- Process reservations accurately and efficiently using our reservation system.
- Maximise room occupancy and revenue by upselling rooms and promoting additional services.
- Coordinate with other hotel departments to ensure guest requests and preferences are accommodated.
- Resolve any booking issues or concerns promptly and courteously.
- Maintain accurate records of reservations and guest interactions.
- Fulfil any other reasonable requests from your Supervisor or Hotel Management.
QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous Front Office or Reservations experience is essential.
- Prior use of Opera cloud & TARS Database or similar PMS is preferred.
- Excellent written and spoken English communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure while maintaining a high level of service and attention to detail.
- Proactive selling approach with excellent time management skills.
- A great personality, innovation, and a “can do” attitude are crucial for success.
- Reliability and commitment to the role long term.
- You will have NZ residency or be holding a permanent NZ work visa.(immigration visa support or sponsorship is not available with this role)
