Shangri-La Sydney is looking for skilled and experienced customer service agents to join the Reservations team of Shangri-La Sydney.

ABOUT YOU

  • Passion to deliver exceptional customer service
  • Have a can do attitude and be willing to learn new skills
  • Excellent communication skills; including both verbal and written.
  • Previously worked at a five star hotel in Front office or Reservations environment
  • Sound knowledge of Opera PMS or similar reservation system
  • Be available to a work a full time rotational roster, including weekends and public holidays.

Responsibilities:

To efficiently and accurately answer all internal and external phone calls in a timely and efficient manner. Accept and administer all reservations in accordance with established Shangri-La Hotels and Resorts standards and procedures.

  • Confidently and accurately read room availability with Yield Management understanding
  • Have thorough knowledge of all room types & rates, their location & amenities; be familiar with all Hotel facilities.
  • Complete & process all reservations/ amendments/ cancellations made by telephone, fax, email, Central Reservation System [Opera], or internally.
  • Driven to confidently upsell hotel products while aiming to reach daily and monthly targets
  • Respond to all guests calls and emails in a timely manner
  • Maintain professional communication with all guests and efficiently handle requests that may arise on shift.
  • Be up to date with current Hotel promotions & packages.
  • Ability to work in a fast paced team environment.
  • Be aware of Golden Circle Program and all related terms and conditions
  • Provide courteous service, particularly in telephone manner & take responsibility for any tasks to ensure guest satisfaction.
  • Upsell and adhere to room and rate availability, and be knowledgeable of various room times.
  • Strong eye for detail to ensue all data is entered correctly
