Description:
The Sheraton Athlone Hotel, a proud member of the Hodson Bay Group, is seeking a Reservations Executive to join our dynamic team to cover a Maternity leave. If you have a flair for exceptional customer service and a desire to create unforgettable experiences for our guests, we’d love to hear from you! Previous hotel reservations/receptionist experience is highly desirable.
Responsibilities:
MAIN DUTIES
To carry out all Reservation duties as per the agreed standard.
To deal with all incoming communications regarding Meeting Rooms and Bedroom availability.
To follow up on all provisional bookings and ensure maximum occupancy is achieved.
To maximise Sales by promoting a positive image to potential guests on the telephone.
To be responsible for replying to email queries that arise.
To develop a good local knowledge in order to answer any guest queries.
To ensure the highest level of Customer care at all times.
To ensure that credit card deposits are handled in a secure manner.
To deal with all complaints in a courteous and efficient manner.
To attend all obligatory training organised by Management.
To communicate effectively with Reception and Sales Department on a daily basis.
To take every opportunity to maximise revenue through the use of Yield Management and occupancy controls.
To compile quotations for business enquiries, dealing with the follow up administration on calls, showing guests / potential corporate clients the facilities of the Hotel.
GENERAL DUTIES
To be aware of any VIP’s or important visitors to the Hotel and inform Management.
To communicate necessary information from the above weekly meetings to all staff through appropriate channels.
To ensure a positive attitude towards colleagues and work as a team.
To ensure the highest levels of Customer care are practised at all times.
To operate equipment with care ensuring adherence to Health & Safety standards.
To ensure a high standard of personal hygiene and grooming and to wear the appropriate uniform and name badge at all times.
To ensure that reasonable care is taken for Health & Safety of yourself, other employees and guests.
