Reservations Manager

REQUIREMENTS

1. Minimum of 2-3 years’ experience in a similar role
2. Prior experience in reservations systems and hotel property management system.
3. Experience in Opera, IDEAS preferred but not essential.
4. Excellent oral and written communication skills.
5. Strong computer skills.
6. Excellent organizational skill

1. Oversees and supervises the Reservations team and work closely with Front Office and Sales team to ensure the highest level of guest services is maintained while maximum profit is generated.
2. Works closely with Revenue Manager; checks and monitors room inventory and alerts Revenue Manager of high/low demand dates.
3. Assists with management of rates and room inventory in the absence of Revenue Manager.
4. Maximizes room revenue contribution through understanding of all booking channels and management of room inventory and rates.
5. Ensures that all reservations are thoroughly reviewed prior to guests’ arrival.
6. Responsible for handling telephone enquiries, accepting reservations based on availability and ensure accuracy input in Opera.
7. Develops and maintains an efficient filing system of all correspondences for easy access and retrieval.
8. Develops and implements reservations procedures to support all sales and marketing initiatives.
9. Responsible for all daily and monthly reports including commission validation for OTAs etc.
10. Responsible to carry out any other duties and responsibilities as and when assigned by the Management of the Hotel and department.
