Description:
Duties/Pligte
- Ensuring that all student housing facilities (residences, houses and hubs) adhere to specific cleaning and maintenance standards.
- Contributing to the sustainable management of the facilities.
- Responsible for the management and optimal usage of all spaces, furniture and equipment.
- Maintaining safety standards within residences, houses and hubs.
Job Requirements/Pos Vereistes
- Grade 12 (Senior Certificate).
- Proven appropriate experience gained within comparable environments in the hospitality industry or student accomodation in terms of cleaning standards and norms.
- Technical knowledge about the maintenance of buildings.
- Knowledge and experience in occupational health and safety.
- Proven good interpersonal skills.
- Empathy and a positive attitude towards students, staff and clients.
- Strong communication skills.
- Good computer skills in MS Word (at least Outlook, Excel and Word).
- Good administration and organisational skills.
- Good conflict management skills.
- Self-motivated with the ability to work independently.
- The ability to work thoroughly and to manage time effectively.
- The ability to act with confidence and authority.
- Professional customer service.
- A valid driver’s licence.
Recommendation/Aanbeveling
- A certificate in project management.
