Description:

Angel’s Flight is a shelter for homeless, run-a-way and at risk youth ages 10-17 years old is seeking an individual that is passionate about making a difference in the lives of those that are most vulnerable. The individual will work with individuals who are refugees or immigrant children, providing case management, emotional support, crisis intervention and resources.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required in social work, behavioral sciences, human services or social services.
  • One to three years of related experience.
  • Supervisory experience required.
  • Bilingual – English/Spanish preferred to include written and verbal.
  • Excellent written, communication, public speaking, organizational and interpersonal skills.
  • Able to work independently.
  • Ability to work as a positive, enthusiastic member of a team.
  • Requires frequent travel and a valid class C driver’s license.
  • Demonstrate leadership ability, team management, and interpersonal skills.
    Hours: 4:00 pm – 12:00 am, 40 hours a week, 7 days rotation

Responsibilities:

  • Oversees all shelter operations, ensuring the facility’s safety and general upkeep.
  • Counsel’s residents and staff on residence issues; assists in case management.
  • Assists with policy development, fundraising, public relations, budgeting, staffing and program development and implementation.
  • Assists with budget, reviews purchase transactions, and monitors flow and supplies.
  • Assists in planning of residence programs.
  • Assists in the development of and participates in fundraising activities.
  • Responsible for implementation, monitoring and reporting on the quality improvement plan, standards, and objectives.
  • Conducts community needs assessments prior to program development.
  • Resolves personnel problems
  • Enforces existing policies.
  • Creates new policies to accommodate program changes.
  • Maintains public contact with community agencies, private citizens, and groups for fundraising.
  • Reviews purchase transactions, oversees budget, monitors flow and supplies, and makes needs assessments.
  • Monitors staff and volunteer schedules.
  • Supervises, assigns, instructs, trains, and evaluates assigned staff.
  • Maintains various records.
