Description:
DESCRIPTION:
The resident engineer will be responsible for overseeing the progress of construction projects, ensuring that they are completed on time, within budget, and to the satisfaction of all stakeholders. This role will require extensive on-site presence and coordination with various stakeholders during the entire construction process.
This role will be assigned in Abu Dhabi.
Key Responsibilities:
- \tTechnical Delivery
\tSupervise and coordinate all aspects of construction activities on-site, including material delivery, contractor schedules, labor resources, and equipment usage.
\tReviewed the design proposals, work program, material submittals, method statements, shop drawings, payments, variation orders and claims, etc.
\tEffectively manage the site supervision staff during construction & ensuring the works are being conducted according to the Contract specifications.
\tEnsure all contractors, subcontractors and workers adhere to project schedules, quality, and safety standards.
\tWork closely with designers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with plans and specifications.
\tRegularly review progress and status reports and advise on adjustments and changes to meet project requirements.
\tProvide updates to the client and project team on the project’s status, costs, and progress and request for approvals or change orders, as necessary.
\tCollaborate with project contractors to recommend innovative solutions that will improve the quality of the project as well as save the project cost.
\tPrepare and submit periodic project reports summarizing progress, schedules, and goals to the management team.
\tCollaborate with other Resident engineers in other projects in coordinating schedules, resources and finding solutions.
\tEnsure monitoring of the quality of materials and workmanship installed, operated, and maintained.
\tMaintain the Resident Engineer’s daily diary and daily diaries and reports by his subordinates. Liaise with Client, Project Management and Contractor for resolution of project issues, in addition to concerned Authorities when required.
\tPrepare weekly and monthly progress reports.
\tFamiliarity with conditions of contract, and quality assurance.
\tLiaise with clients, co-ordination with Governmental Organization and other Consultants/Contractors
\tConsistently adheres to and enforces internal Company processes and policies such as business and contracting rules.
\tDemonstrates strong written and verbal communication and negotiating skills.
\tWorks in a manner to ensure personal safety and that of fellow employees by following company health and safety guidelines and policies.

\tWork in conjunction with engineers to solve project design problems, performing basic design calculations as required.
\tConduct technical, feasibility studies and site investigations.
\tLiaison with teams Client, Contractor, supervision team, Engineering, to facilitate the completion of tasks and projects.

\tExperience in utility diversions and management.
- \tFollow safe work practices and adhere to company guidelines and policies for planning and executing work in a safe manner.
\tComplete all work in line with Stantec Core Values and in accordance with the Stantec Quality Systems and Project Quality Procedures.
\tDesign for safety, i.e., Construction Design Management.

QUALIFICATIONS:
- The successful candidate will have Bachelor Degree in Civil engineering with 12 Years of experience in Drainage, Water network miscellaneous Projects.
- Candidate must have PMP certifications and proficient in PRIMAVERA and MS OFFICE .
- Candidate must have previous experience in dealing with Construction manager, CS site team, Client, Contractor and Suppliers.
- Experience with SWS Infra & Water recycle Project Advantages
