Responsibilities:
Our newest opportunity is for a talented Resident Engineer - Infrastructure to join our award-winning team based in Riyadh, KSA.
This critical role will be responsible for managing and overseeing the construction and execution of bridge infrastructure works for a major project in the UAE. The Resident Engineer will be responsible for ensuring that all bridge construction activities meet the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance with design specifications. Maintaining communication with the client’s site engineers on all project related issues whilst demonstrating extensive knowledge and experience in the execution of civil, infrastructure, building, landscape and irrigation work.

We envisage success in this role to include:

  • Ability to make senior level project decisions and liaise with applicable authorities.
  • Familiar with the DM General Conditions of Contract, Quality Assurance, Quantity Surveying, and Project Network Techniques.
  • Overseeing all bridge infrastructure construction activities, ensuring adherence to the approved plans, specifications, and project timelines.
  • Managing day-to-day operations on-site, including coordination of contractors, subcontractors, and suppliers, while ensuring the site is safe, organized, and compliant with all relevant regulations.
  • Conducting regular inspections and quality checks to ensure all bridge works, including materials and workmanship, comply with design standards, engineering specifications, and local regulations.
  • Identifying potential issues and challenges related to design, construction, and resource management. Provide technical solutions and support to resolve site-related problems promptly.
  • Maintaining comprehensive site records, including progress reports, inspection logs, safety reports, and daily construction reports. Report regularly to the project manager on progress, delays, and potential risks.
  • Ensuring that all construction activities adhere to safety protocols and environmental guidelines. Promote a culture of safety on-site and enforce compliance with local regulations.
  • Supervising and manage construction teams on-site, providing guidance, leadership, and support to ensure tasks are carried out efficiently and in accordance with project specifications.
  • Collaborating with design engineers, consultants, and other project stakeholders to ensure seamless communication and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

Qualifications:
To be successful in this dynamic opportunity, we envision that your career journey to date will include 15 years plus work experience partnered with a Bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering or equivalent - 8 years of your career will have been focused purely on Infrastructure projects.
