Description:
POSITION OVERVIEW:
As a Resident Engineer at Soft-in, you will serve as the primary technical contact for the customer, providing support for vehicle system testing, diagnostics, and technical problem-solving. You will facilitate key activities like test drives, system checkouts, ECU updates, and customer meetings while ensuring effective communication and technical coordination between Soft-in and the customer.

REQUIREMENTS:
- Fluent in both Italian and English.
- Strong technical knowledge of vehicle systems, diagnostics, and ECU updates.
- Hands-on experience with HiL/SiL testing, vehicle system testing, and EMC tests.
- Excellent communication skills for customer-facing roles.
- Ability to work independently and manage technical responsibilities on-site.

Responsibilities:
- Serve as the local technical contact for the customer, communicating in both Italian and English.
- Conduct vehicle test drives and system checkouts.
- Perform testing at both test board and vehicle levels.
- Support Electromagnetic Compatibility (EMC) tests at the vehicle level.
- Provide support for Hardware-in-the-Loop (HiL) and Software-in-the-Loop (SiL) systems.
- Carry out ECU software updates, troubleshooting, and mechanical inspections.
- Assist with project-related reviews (e.g., FTPs, DFMEA).
- Investigate and resolve quality returns and issues.
- Support the preparation of necessary documentation and reports.
- Attend customer meetings regularly and participate in test drives.
- Offer local assistance in the preparation and testing of prototype vehicles.
- Participate in requirements analysis and documentation efforts.
