Description:

Overview:
The Resources Manager is responsible for the day-to-day operations of the on-site Resources Office at select property, and also traveling to other properties within the Gates Hudson portfolio in support of their Resident Service Program as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Create budgets, monitor expenditures, and reconcile invoices accordingly.
  • Ensure all resource assistance appointments are properly tracked on the applicable Appointment Scheduler/Calendar.
  • Meet with residents that request assistance or are in financial distress to determine the types of support available to them, assist with the application process, and ensure assistance activities are properly tracked and maintained.
  • Conduct proactive outreach to delinquent residents via email, USPS, and telephone and ensure communication is properly tracked and maintained.
  • Conduct routine follow up with applicable agencies for status updates on assistance applications, communicate and assist residents with any requested action items and ensure proper documentation of all actions.
  • Conduct routine audits of the resources data to identify gaps in follow ups and close assistance files as needed.
  • Ensure the Community Resource Assistance database is maintained with current information, and that the resource category (food, rent, etc.) assistance lists, folders and racks are updated accordingly.
  • Ensure that all federal, state, and locally funded assistance programs are communicated to all residents in all applicable languages, the recurrence of their communication established, and that tracking of the program’s execution and applications maintained.
  • Run financial assistance reports and resident activity reports routinely to ensure updates to the data management program are conducted for Move Ins, Move Outs, Transfers and Renewals.
  • Plan and execute resident events and activities using the protocols in the Resident Services. Execution will include traveling to retail and merchant shops to acquire needed supplies.
  • Create and coordinate electronic and hardcopy communication of resident events and activities.
  • Review and ensure social media postings are conducted each weekday and that they follow the protocols outlined in the Resident Services Plan.
  • Coordinate and oversee workshops, classes and social clubs for the select property.
  • Proactively look for ways to expand social media presence and increase resident following and execute social media campaigns accordingly.
  • Create the monthly newsletter with relevant content and ensure its proper distribution.
  • Provide communication support to the Property Manager as requested regarding notification of residential/operational events. This includes sending eblasts, creating flyers, sending flyers, and physical posting of information on buildings or doors.
  • Establish relations with local community advocates, resource assistance agencies and community partners by traveling to their offices and sites.
  • Attend and have membership with local community meetings whose mission is the betterment and advocacy of the resident population, which may require traveling to their offices or meeting place.
  • Travel to other Gates Hudson properties to support Resident Services programs with coordination and execution of resident events and activities, creation and distribution of hardcopy and electronic communication, establishing resource assistance programs, and social media postings and campaigns.
