Job Description

We are seeking a detail-oriented and efficient Resident Technical Officer to join our team in Singapore, Singapore. As a key member of our construction supervision team, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the quality and compliance of various civil engineering projects.

  • Provide quality and compliance supervision for construction of mechanical works, including piping, water tanks, etc,
  • Assist the Superintending Officer in daily supervision and coordination duties
  • Inspect and supervise contractors’ works and tests according to approved drawings and specifications
  • Maintain accurate quality records of all works and monitor project progress
  • Implement and oversee quality assurance plans in a well-coordinated manner
  • Coordinate with contractors, stakeholders, authorities, and interfacing contractors on the execution of works
  • Assist engineers in supervision, inspection, and quality control of on-site construction work
  • Monitor and report on work progress as per the contractor’s approved program
  • Handle contractors’ queries, reports, and verify claims
  • Ensure adherence to local building codes and regulations
  • Collaborate with project teams to identify and resolve technical issues
  • Contribute to the continuous improvement of construction processes and methodologies

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Diploma in Mechanical Engineering or related field
  • Registration as a Resident Technical Officer with relevant accreditation bodies
  • Minimum of 3 years of relevant experience in quality assurance inspections for civil engineering projects
  • Comprehensive knowledge of construction works, including drainage, roads, and infrastructure projects
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent attention to detail and organizational abilities
  • Proficiency in project management software and MS Office suite
  • In-depth understanding of local building codes and regulations
  • Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
  • Customer-focused approach with a commitment to project success
  • Adaptability to changing project requirements and deadlines
