Description:
Surepoint is looking for a Residential Electrician to join our team in Calgary! Candidates must be local to the Calgary area.
Responsibilities
- Adhere to all company environmental, health, and safety policies and procedures.
- Complete cutting, threading, bending, and assembling rigid, aluminum and conduit systems.
- Interpret drawings, circuit diagrams, and electrical code specifications to better help execute electrical installation and troubleshooting.
- Understand and execute basic circuit fundamentals, alternating current circuit properties, heating and cooling systems, magnetic control and switching circuits, three phase systems, transformers, machines, control and switching/PLC, fire alarm systems, red seal programs, industry network, and applications of electronics.
- Test electrical equipment and components for current, voltage and OHMS.
- Responsible for material ordering, and QAQC documents directly associated with the project at hand.
Qualifications
- Certified Journeyman Electrician or Indentured Apprentice
- Valid Class 5 license with a clean driver abstract.
- Valid H2S, First Aid, OSSA Fall Protection, Aerial Work Platform, CSO, and CSTS an asset.
- Previous experience in the Oil and Gas industry in construction or maintenance is considered an asset.
- Ability to work in various working conditions ranging from outdoors to indoors in a variety of weather conditions and working from heights as needed.
