Description:

The Residential Manager will work alongside the President and will be responsible for the successful planning and execution of projects. They will lead in all phases of the construction project, including coordinating workers, materials, and equipment, ensuring that specifications are being followed, work is proceeding on schedule and within budget, and maintaining customer satisfaction throughout the job. Job duties are subject to job role additions and changes at any time.

SKILLS REQUIRED:

  • Must have a Construction Engineering Technology or Civil Engineering Technician Certificate / Degree, any Architectural Certificates, Landscape Certificates, Certified Project Manager, etc.
  • The ability to read blueprints and understand elevations is a must.
  • Previous landscape experience is a must.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Strong computer skills in Excel, Work Pro, Auto Cad, Microsoft Project Manager, and Adobe Reader.
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and a clean abstract.

Responsibilities:

  • Attend and participate in daily and weekly scheduling meetings.
  • Communicate regularly with Estimators, Construction Superintendents, and Oakridge Owners.
  • Manage the Junior Project Coordinator ensuring tasks, directions, and assigned projects are kept on task, followed up, and reported effectively.
  • Hiring of sub-trades, purchasing of materials, completing the daily and weekly project schedule, etc.
  • Maintain and manage all administrative documentation generated on projects.
  • Complete site visits as needed.
  • Set up projects.
  • Participate in Job Kick Off Meetings.
  • Liaison with clients when needed.
  • Attend various site meetings with clients, architects, engineers, etc. as may be required, and maintain an excellent working relationship with them.
  • Track and control construction schedule and associated costs to achieve completion of project within time and monies allocated.
  • Constantly review the progress of projects. Be aware of cost, labor, and material overruns. When there are overruns you MUST take immediate action to resolve them.
  • Review the project costs vs. planned costs and report to the Project Manager.
