QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS
We are looking for a highly skilled candidate with the following qualifications and skills:
- Qualified Solicitor, Chartered Legal Executive or Licensed Conveyancer, registered with the Solicitors Regulation Authority (SRA), Chartered Institute of Legal Executives (CILEX) or The Council for Licensed Conveyancers (CLC).
- 3-5 years of experience in fee earning.
- Strong knowledge of property law, conveyancing processes, and property transactions.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in using conveyancing software and relevant legal databases.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in legal documentation.
- Effective time management and organisational abilities.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Client-focused with a commitment to delivering exceptional service.
Responsibilities:
- Be able to develop and maintain good, sustainable relationships with referrers such as estate agents/brokers.
- You will be expected to find your own sources of work as well as take on leads passed to you and some panel work. Ideally, you need to already have your own established contacts who will continue to refer work to you, but this is not essential.
- Manage a caseload of residential property transactions without supervision.
- Provide expert legal advice to clients on property matters.
- Draft, review, and negotiate contracts, leases, and other legal documents.
- Conduct property searches and investigations to identify any potential issues.
- Liaise with clients, estate agents, mortgage lenders, and other relevant parties.
- Oversee the exchange of contracts and completion of property transactions.
- Ensure compliance with all relevant legal and regulatory requirements.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of all transactions.
- Keep clients informed about the progress of their property transactions.
- Resolve any legal issues or disputes related to property transactions.
- Lead and mentor your pod to deliver outstanding client care.
