WHAT EXPERIENCE DO I NEED?

This role will therefore suit an experienced 6 year + PQE Residential Property Solicitor or Chartered Legal Executive who is looking for the opportunity to grow and develop their career not only as a Residential Property Solicitor but also assisting with the management of a large and successful department.
The right candidate will have excellent client care skills and be able to take a flexible approach to meeting clients’ expectations of client contact. They must be confident and competent in technical aspects of Residential Property and Land Law and not just the process itself.
You should also have proven knowledge of trust matters and their impact on residential property transactions.
You will have a proven track record in delivering high quality residential property work independently and experience of supervising more junior members of the team and supporting colleagues.
Working alongside the Head of Department, you will have experience and a desire to assist in management of the Department where needed and enthusiasm to be involved in departmental projects to aid risk mitigation and increase efficiencies.

Responsibilities:

We are looking for a Residential Solicitor, or Chartered Legal Executive to join our successful Residential Property Department as a senior member of the Dept. The role will primarily be based in our Sudbury office. The successful applicant will be client facing and will assist the Head of Department in the management of the team acting as their deputy.
Day to day you will be handling a varied caseload that will encompass the full spectrum of conveyancing matters including sales, purchases, re-mortgages on freehold and leasehold property, lease extensions and Transfers of Equity, Transfers of Part, Small development sales and Regulated and Unregulated finance matters. You should also have proven knowledge of trust matters and their impact on residential property transactions.

The successful applicant will take the lead in growing our conveyancing offering in Sudbury and the surrounding areas and building a strong network and relationship with referrers and agencies.
