Description:

Let’s talk about who we are
The nib Group has a mission and vision of people enjoying better health. Through our success, we aspire to more prosperous and sustainable communities, not only the creation of enterprise value. nib is a trusted health partner, helping members and travellers make more informed healthcare decisions, transact with healthcare systems and generally live healthier lives.
We’re looking for people who share this passion and want to be a part of a team that has the appetite and ambition to be extraordinary. Extraordinary comes in different perspectives and experiences. We’re committed to an environment where everyone has the autonomy and freedom to be their authentic selves, every day.
Let’s talk about diversity, equity and inclusion
We embrace a flexible working environment and welcome candidates that reflect the diversity of the communities in which we operate. We actively encourage Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, people living with disability, LGBTQIA+ as well as culturally diverse community members to apply for open roles.
nib Group is committed to creating an accessible recruitment process and employment experience. If you identify as a person living with disability and require adjustments to our online application, recruitment, selection and/or assessment process, or would like this advertisement in an alternative format, please contact us at nibemployment@nib.com.au.
Let’s talk about this role
This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract as Resilience Lead (CPS 230).
This position will form a key SME role in the CPS 230 Operational Risk Management regulatory project.
The Resilience Lead will work in consultation with the Project team, Risk Manager, IT Risk Manager, Procurement, and other relevant stakeholders as part of the Business Continuity Management workstream to transform nib’s business resilience and continuity management framework, systems and tools in line with the requirements of CPS 230 and other relevant regulations and standards.
The key success criteria of this role are the high quality, timely delivery of project work tasks, establishment of productive working relationships with stakeholders and SMEs, and development of a sustainable, coordinated, compliant and mature approach to operational resilience that sets nib up for future success in the event of operational disruptions.
Let’s talk about you
The successful candidate for this position will have extensive understanding and ability in applying recognised industry toolsets and frameworks associated with business continuity management such as the BCI Good Practice Guide; International standards such as ISO 22301 & ISO 31000 Business Continuity Standard; Regulatory standards and guidelines such as APRA CPS 232 Business Continuity Management.
You are a driven self-starter with exceptional problem solving, organisational, planning and prioritisation skills with the ability to operate at a higher strategic level, but also with excellent attention to detail across different functional requirements.

Furthermore, we’re looking for:

  • Relevant tertiary degree qualification in a related discipline and/or equivalent industry experience (business resilience, business continuity management, risk management)
  • Comfortable to work autonomously and able to identify issues, problem-solve and make the call to escalate when needed
  • Demonstrated capability to identify relevant stakeholders and collaborate and communicate to garner support and alignment
  • Experience working with governance, risk and compliance systems and tools
  • Experience with senior management style reporting in a corporate environment
  • Good communicator and presenter, able to articulate complex subjects in a verbal or written manner that is understandable to a non-technical audience

At nib, we recognise that some people may only apply when their education, skills and/or experiences are identical to what an employer is looking for in a candidate. We’re always on the lookout for curious individuals who will add to the culture at nib Group – so if this role resonates with you, please apply!
