Description
We are seeking a full-time team member who is dynamic and adaptable in order to provide essential coverage across multiple clinic locations with a passion for others who wants to make a difference to work at UMC Physicians. This is a reception job that works at the front desk of our clinics checking in patients and doing administrative duties. We want people who bring strong customer services skills and have a desire to take on the challenges in front of them. Full Job Description:
Serves as a direct contact/referral point for patients, greets patients in person and via telephone, answers multi-line telephone system in a professional manner, performs clerical duties pertaining to the design and follow up in an efficient patient/provider appointment schedule, accurately registers patients sing the UMCP computer system, ensure all documents and forms are presented, explained, and signed at time of registration.
Essential Functions:
Obtain all necessary information to perform benefits verifications, obtain appropriate signed consent forms, collects co-pay or amount required at time of service, works to provide a friendly, clam and professional environment for a sick patient, their family and friends.

Knowledge/Skills/Abilities:
Must have experience in meeting people and dealing with them under adverse conditions. General computer skills. Must have excellent customer service and organizational skills. Must be capable of learning quickly and accepting change.
Minimum Qualifications: High School diploma, typing speed of 30 wpm, high attention to detail, excellent customer service skills and strong communication skills.
Preferred qualifications:
Previous experience in a general office capacity, previous experience in a medical reception position.
Environmental Conditions:
Well heated and ventilated building. Normal office environment. Fast paced, professional environment.
Physical Requirements:
Requires prolonged sitting, some bending, stooping, and stretching. Requires eye-hand coordinator and manual dexterity sufficient to operate a keyboard, photocopier, telephone, calculator, and other office equipment. Requires normal range of hearing and eyesight to record, prepare and communicate appropriate reports. Must be able to transact business in person or on the telephone.
