Location: This role will cover the Halifax / Huddersfield areas
Work type: Permanent. 37 hours per week, Monday - Friday. Confined space working and working at height are part of the role and will therefore require a medical. You will also be required to work on a standby rota
We have an exciting opportunity for a Resource Engineer to join the Water Service Delivery team at Yorkshire Water and be a part of helping Yorkshire Water to provide the best service to our customers. Could this be you?

The successful applicant will help to deliver an outstanding (efficient and effective) accounting service to the whole of the Kelda group and support delivery of the department purpose, principally by provision of financial & management information for statutory and regulatory accounting purposes.
In addition, you will provide support to the wider team, and provide a high-quality financial service while adhering to working best practices and financial control procedures.

WHAT SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS YOU WILL NEED:

  • Previous experience of supporting and embedding change, able to influence and drive the right culture and behaviours, with in-depth knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and requirements.
  • Be able to meet deadlines in a pressured working environment and prioritise work to meet demands
  • Have the ability to ensure team performance delivers the workload, informing and updating the wider business
  • Develop and maintain effective relationships with key stakeholders, both internal and external
  • Demonstrate excellent planning and organisational skills, with experience of delivering against challenging business targets
  • Be customer-focused and keen to drive continuous improvement throughout the business
  • Be proficient in use of IT with the ability to learn new IT systems.
