Essential:

  • General Education Degree

Other information:
1. Education: Completion of 1 year of an AMA accredited respiratory care educational program.
2. Licensure / Certifications: Registered as a Respiratory Care Assistant with the North Carolina Respiratory Care Board. American Heart Association BLS certified required.
3. Experience: None required
Demonstrates standards of performance (ownership, teamwork, communication, compassion) that support patient satisfaction and principles of service excellence.
Performs other duties as assigned.
Individual will possess commensurate combination of education, experience and qualifications.
Responsibilities:
1. Administers a variety of simple respiratory modalities such as therapeutic gases, medications, evaluation, treatment, etc. as described in the Respiratory Care policy and procedure manual.
2. Consults with physicians and other healthcare professionals to help develop and modify patient care plans.
3. Records treatment and test results in patients’ charts when performed.
4. Cleans and disinfects respiratory equipment and accessories.
5. Performs related duties such as assisting physicians with special procedures.
6. Responds to Code Blue and Code Trauma.
7. Participates in appropriate continuing education
