Description:

The Respiratory Laboratory Department, based in the QEH Medicine Directorate at Queen Elizabeth Hospital, provides a clinical service on three major Hospital sites – QEH, Queen Mary’s Hospital Sidcup CDC, and Eltham Community Hospital CDC, the service is also establishing a
community based service.
You would have the opportunity to help provide a high quality, appropriate and effective specialist respiratory test service performing a full range of lung function tests, Sleep Studies and CPAP set ups for outpatients: providing technical reports and interpretation where appropriate. To be responsible for the efficient organisation of the department at all times in conjunction with and in the absence of the Band 7 Physiologist. This role would also provide you with the opportunity to rotate through each site. through each of the sites

An opportunity has arisen to join our Respiratory Physiology department. We are looking for a skilled and enthusiastic respiratory physiologist to
join our busy, and evolving service.
Our trust currently has two physiologists based at Queen Elizabeth Hospital. We are also in the process of recruiting a team of ARTP trained
HCA’s that perform basic respiratory tests in for our community based diagnostic services, and are working towards developing a band 4 junior
physiologist post within our team.
We are looking for a highly motivated individual who wants to excel professionally and is committed to providing a high-quality service. You must have the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
This exciting new post will be based predominantly in our new Eltham community diagnostics hub, although there will also be the opportunity for
regular cross-site working. The successful candidate will be required to work autonomously and be responsible for the day-to-day running of a
lung function and sleep laboratory within the diagnostic hub.

the ability to work in and lead a multidisciplinary team, and understand the principles of and take an active role in clinical governance. The post
holder would need to have experience of teaching clinical skills to trainees of all levels, and provide evidence of participation in audit and quality
improvement projects
