Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen in our Pulmonary Rehabilitation team for a dynamic and enthusiastic Respiratory Physiotherapists within Kent. We have a new post in the East Kent area covering Ashford/Canterbury locality.
Our Pulmonary Rehabilitation teams provide valuable services across East Kent and DGS (Dartford, Gravesham and Swanley) localities. This is a skilled post with the expectation that you will utilise your specialised clinical knowledge to assess and treat patients with chronic respiratory conditions in a community setting. Your input into this service will allow patients to improve their functional ability and breathlessness management to make a tangible difference to their quality of life. The team are now also integral to providing a rehabilitation service to those patients recovering Long-Covid.
As a member of our team we will ensure that you have the opportunity to strengthen and develop your specialised respiratory skills. You will be an integral part of a team including a Band 7 Physiotherapist, Therapy Assistant Practitioners and supported by an admin team to deliver a high quality service.
You will play a key part in engagement with integrated accountable care organisations. The Pulmonary Rehabilitation service is currently working with different care providers in Kent and continues to develop the respiratory pathway and the service to serve the local population.

Responsibilities:

  • The Band 6 Senior Respiratory Physiotherapist supports the Clinical Specialist Respiratory Physiotherapist ( Band 7) within a locality area
  • To plan, co-ordinate, deliver and evaluate a high quality, evidence based Pulmonary Rehabilitation and respiratory physiotherapy service for respiratory patients within a locality area
  • Engage and provides support to more junior staff to coordinate their areas accordingly.
    It is essential that you are HCPC registered with proven experience and knowledge in a respiratory specialised field. We welcome applications from band 5 Physiotherapists looking to specialise into chronic respiratory disease management where you will be supported to develop your knowledge and skills. Driving or access to transport is also essential for this post.
    There is an option of hours from a minimum of 22.5 hours up to a maximum of 37.5 hours.
