Nous recherchons un Responsable de la Santé et de la Sécurité expérimenté pour développer, mettre en œuvre et superviser toutes les politiques et procédures de santé et de sécurité au sein de notre organisation. Le candidat idéal aura une solide expérience en gestion de la santé et de la sécurité au travail, de préférence dans les secteurs des refroidisseurs ou de la CVC, ainsi qu’une connaissance approfondie des réglementations en matière de sécurité au Québec, au Canada et aux États-Unis.

    We are looking for an experienced Health and Safety Manager to develop, implement, and oversee all health and safety policies and procedures within our organization. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in industrial health and safety management, preferably within the chiller or HVAC industries, and a deep understanding of Québec, Canadian, and U.S. safety regulations.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Education
  • Bachelor’s degree in Occupational Health and Safety, Engineering, or a related field.
  • Certifications such as CRSP (Canadian Registered Safety Professional) and/or CSP (Certified Safety Professional) are highly desirable.
  • Experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a health and safety role within the industrial sector.
  • Experience in the chiller or HVAC industry is an asset.
  • Proven experience managing health and safety programs in both Canadian and U.S. jurisdictions.
  • Knowledge
  • In-depth understanding of Québec occupational health and safety regulations (CNESST) and U.S. OSHA standards.
  • Familiarity with ISO 45001 Occupational Health and Safety Management Systems.
  • Skills
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Excellent communication skills in both French and English.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and safety management software.
  • Ability to analyze complex situations and develop practical solutions.
  • Willingness and ability to travel between locations regularly.

Responsibilities:

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Policy Development and Implementation
  • Develop and update health and safety policies in compliance with CNESST, OSHA, and other relevant regulations.
  • Implement safety programs and initiatives to promote a culture of safety across both locations.
  • Risk Assessment and Management
  • Conduct regular workplace inspections and hazard assessments at both the Montréal and Plattsburgh facilities.
  • Develop and implement risk mitigation strategies tailored to each site.
  • Training and Education
  • Organize and conduct health and safety training sessions for all staff levels in both Canada and the U.S.
  • Ensure employees are aware of safety protocols and emergency procedures specific to their location.
  • Incident Management
  • Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses at both sites.
  • Prepare detailed reports and recommend corrective actions.
  • Regulatory Compliance
  • Stay updated on changes to health and safety legislation in both Québec/Canada and New York/USA.
  • Liaise with regulatory bodies and represent the company during inspections and audits.
  • Emergency Preparedness
  • Develop and maintain emergency response plans for both facilities.
  • Coordinate regular emergency drills and ensure readiness.
  • Reporting and Documentation
  • Maintain accurate records of incidents, inspections, and training for both locations.
  • Provide regular reports to senior management on health and safety performance.
  • Collaboration
  • Work closely with operations, engineering, and HR departments across both sites.
  • Promote safety best practices throughout the organization.
  • Travel
  • Regular travel between Montréal and Plattsburgh is required.
