JOB SUMMARY
Craft Kings is seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented Responsible Person In Charge (RPIC) & Alternate Quality Assurance Person (QAP) to join our team. This key role ensures regulatory compliance under Health Canada’s Cannabis Act and Regulations, while also supporting quality assurance processes. The ideal candidate will have experience in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, and Good Production Practices (GPP) within the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry.
REQUIREMENTS
- Bachelor’s degree in Science, Agriculture, Pharmacy, Biotechnology, or a related field (preferred but not required if relevant experience is demonstrated).
- Minimum 2+ years of experience in regulatory compliance, quality assurance, or related roles within the cannabis, pharmaceutical, food, or natural health product industries.
- Strong knowledge of Health Canada’s Cannabis Act and Regulations.
- Experience with GPP, GMP, and QMS.
- Strong organizational, problem-solving, and documentation skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, regulated environment and adapt to evolving industry standards.
- Knowledge of seed-to-sale systems is a significant asset
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel) and comfortable with electronic data entry.

Responsibilities:
Regulatory Compliance (RPIC):
- Act as the designated Responsible Person In Charge (RPIC) under Health Canada’s licensing requirements.
- Ensure all activities comply with federal and provincial cannabis regulations.
- Maintain accurate records and documentation as required by Health Canada.
- Oversee security measures, inventory control, and reporting obligations.
- Act as the primary point of contact for Health Canada inspections and audits.
Quality Assurance (Alternate QAP):
- Support the Head Quality Assurance Person (QAP) in overseeing all aspects of quality control and assurance.
- Ensure compliance with Good Production Practices (GPP) and Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP).
- Conduct internal audits, batch record reviews, and product release approvals.
- Assist in implementing and maintaining the company’s Quality Management System (QMS).
- Identify and resolve quality-related issues, deviations, and non-conformances.
- Provide training and support to staff on compliance and quality control procedures.
