JOB BRIEF

We are looking for a Restaurant Assistant Manager to join our team.
To be successful in this role, you’ll need management skills and experience in both front and back of the house. You will train other team members and will motivate our staff to provide excellent customer service. You will also assist in making sure the team adheres to company policies, resolving customer complaints, leading the team, and organising the team schedule.
To be a great fit for this role you should have a consistent work history and previous experience as a senior staff member or as an Assistant Manager. A passion for customer service and team mentoring is also a plus.
We’ll expect you to lead by example and uplift our staff during busy moments in our fast-paced environment. Ultimately, you will ensure our restaurant runs smoothly and customers have pleasant dining experiences.

REQUIREMENTS

Proven work experience as a Restaurant Assistant Manager, Hospitality Manager or similar role
Extensive food and beverage (F&B) knowledge, with ability to remember and recall ingredients and dishes to inform customers and wait staff
Familiarity with restaurant management software, like ResDiary and Time Point
Strong leadership, motivational and people skills
Financial management skills

RESTAURANT ASSISTANT MANAGER RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinating daily restaurant management operations
Delivering superior food and beverage service and maximising customer satisfaction
Responding efficiently and accurately to restaurant customer complaints

RESPONSIBILITIES

Coordinate daily Front of the House and Back of the House restaurant operations
Deliver superior service and maximise customer satisfaction
Respond efficiently and accurately to customer complaints
Ensure company policies are followed
Maintaining an overall management style that follows company best practices
Organise and supervise shifts
Appraise staff performance and provide feedback to improve productivity
Estimate future needs for goods, kitchen utensils and cleaning products
Ensure compliance with sanitation and safety regulations
Manage restaurant’s good image and suggest ways to improve it
Control operational costs and identify measures to cut waste
Train new and current employees on proper customer service practices
