Nestled in the heart of the stunning Blue Mountains at Katoomba, our 43-room Hotel Mountain Heritage offers a serene escape from the city’s hustle and bustle. Boasting a 120-seat restaurant, an intimate bar, a cozy lounge, and two versatile conference rooms, our hotel is renowned for its breathtaking views of the Jamison Valley, making it the premier destination in the region.
With the recent appointment of a new General Manager, we are looking for a dynamic and passionate Restaurant and Bar Manager to lead our food and beverage operations. This role is your opportunity to drive innovation, elevate our reputation, enhance product quality, and maximize profitability. You’ll be at the forefront of industry trends, championing change and fostering a culture of excellence across the department.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Leadership & Improvement: Spearhead continuous improvement efforts, focusing on product and service quality, operational efficiency, and profitability.
- Team Management: Inspire, mentor, and guide F&B staff, ensuring top-notch service for every guest.
- Safety & Compliance: Maintain a safe working environment and ensure all employees adhere to health and safety standards.
- Innovation & Promotion: Collaborate with the General Manager to develop and implement promotional strategies that boost revenue and optimize costs.
- Stock Management: Fully accountable for monthly stocktake and stock management, including ordering, wine and beverage list management.
- Guest Relations: Manage reservations and ensure exceptional F&B guest relations.
- Event Coordination: Organise and coordinate special events and group reservations in the restaurant.
- Training & Development: Provide ongoing training and development for F&B staff to maintain high standards.
