Daydream Island Resort & Living Reef is located in the heart of Queensland’s Whitsunday Islands and the gateway to the World Heritage-listed Great Barrier Reef. With stunning views out to the impossibly blue waters of the Whitsundays, it is the perfect place to immerse yourself in the natural beauty of the island.
The island is one of the closest Whitsunday islands to the mainland (Airlie Beach) with spectacular 30-minute ferry ride to work each day.

DESCRIPTION:

With three restaurants, six bars, conference and events centre and exciting new changes for the property we are looking for a hospitality professional to oversee one of our modern restaurants and bar.
Graze Interactive Dining – Modern Australian bistro restaurant, offering daily buffet breakfast and à la carte dinner menu.
Salti Kitchen and Bar – Overlooking the pool and with a beachfront location, Inkstone offers a modern Australian with a Mediterranean twist à la carte menu. Open for lunch and dinner 7 days.
Infinity Restaurant – With expansive views of the Whitsunday Islands, Infinity Restaurant delivers an exceptional Asian inspired dining experience. A feast for all senses.
We are seeking a true industry professional with a passion for food and beverage who wishes to join a vibrant and energetic team in the integral role of either Restaurant & Bar Manager. Reporting to the Food & Beverage Manager this full-time role will be immersed in ensuring all our guests receive a memorable dining experience.

Providing exceptional guest service as a hands-on operational leader.
Engaging, inspiring and effectively managing your F&B team to achieve excellence.
Implement positive change for operational improvements and efficiencies.
Positively responding to all queries (both internal and external).
Commitment to the immaculate presentation, ambiance, and cleanliness of your outlet whilst ensuring food safety and hygiene compliance.
Identifying and resolving issues efficiently.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCES:

Passionate about all aspects of Food & Beverage operations.
Dynamic leader with a proven ability in developing and leading teams.
Excellent guest relations, problem solving, decision making and time management skills.
Previous experience in a similar role.
Highly developed organisational and communication skills and the ability to thrive under pressure.
Knowledge of Micros point of sale system would be a definite advantage.
Exceptional beverage knowledge (wines, spirits and cocktails).
Current Queensland Responsible Service of Alcohol certificate (RSA).
Current Responsible Management of Licensed Venues certificate (RMLV).
Must be eligible to work in Australia.
As you are required to be available to work rotating shifts, including weekends this is a live on position with accommodation and meals in the staff dining included.
