We are seeking 4 Restaurant Duty Managers to join our team and oversee the daily operations of our restaurant in Dunedin.
Responsibilities:
- Organise and manage bookings of special events and functions
- Plan and coordinate marketing and promotion
- Oversee purchasing and pricing of goods within budget constraints
- Maintain accurate stock levels and financial records
- Plan menus with chefs/cooks
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Maintain a clean, functional, and inviting dining environment
- Ensure customer satisfaction by implementing continuous improvement measures
- Recruit, train, and supervise wait and kitchen staff
- Assist with reservations, serving food and order-taking as needed
Requirements:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in cafe or restaurant management OR relevant experience from other related industry OR an NZQF Diploma in Hospitality Management or related field
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent customer service and communication skills
- Proficiency in inventory management and financial record-keeping
- Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices
- Ability to work flexible hours, shift work, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
