We currently have an excellent opportunity for a Full Time or temporary F&B Assistant to join our team. This is a great opportunity for a customer focused individual to join a world leading food and facilities management company, which can offer unrivalled opportunities for career progression.
Primary responsibility is to greets customers and offers restaurant or cafe menus, answers questions about menu offerings, processes food and drink orders, carries food and drinks from kitchen to tables, and prepares bills and process payments. Although it may seem simple, it’s an important job that ensures our restaurant’s efficient and smooth operation.

SKILLS & COMPETENCES

  • Multitasking skills to ensure guests get their orders quickly
  • Organisational skills to easily locate bar patrons and tables to fulfil orders
  • Positive, Happy and Hard Working – Yes these are skills!
  • An understanding of IT and POS (Point of sale systems)
  • Excellent communication skills

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS OF THE POSITION

  • English as a first or second language (spoken, written and reading)
  • Well groomed and presentable
  • Discretion and Loyalty
  • The ability to multi task
  • Excellent timekeeping
  • Flexible working hours (incl. working on bank holidays)
  • Necessary working permits

Responsibilities:

  • Working as a team player on a daily basis, taking direction from the Manager and Supervisor.
  • Work in accordance with our Standard Operating Procedures and within the parameters of your training and the guidelines you are given.
  • Welcomes customers in a friendly, upbeat manner when they arrive at a restaurant
  • Introduces customers to the menu and announces daily or seasonal menu specials
  • Take order from customers.
  • Answers questions about menu items, ingredients, and pricing
  • Process payment and prepare order using correct packaging
  • Maintain shop front incl. stocking of fridges
  • Work in an orderly and tidy manner always
  • Following our stock rotation guidelines.
  • Attend daily meetings with your team, to ensure detailed communications are a regular occurrence, as well as to support the motivation and drive of the whole team.
  • Continue with your personal development within the Bombay Story team and partake in training and support sessions when scheduled
  • Work safely with all equipment on site, and make sure the instructions are followed.
  • Maintain the highest of cleanliness standards for the premises and your own personal hygiene too.
  • Strictly adhere to our HACCP (Heathy & Safety and Food Hygiene) procedures and make sure any paperwork you are responsible for is filled in and up to date
