Description:
We are looking for a full-time (min. 30 hours/week, $25-$35 hourly rate) Restaurant Manager to manage our fine-dining Indian Restaurant.
To ensure the overall smooth and effective operation of the Restaurant with a strong customer service orientation. You will liaise with the owner to discuss issues that will facilitate the smooth running and high quality of the business and perform the following tasks on a day-to-day basis and take sole charge of the Restaurant.
Key responsibilities: Provide an excellent level of customer service and drive a customer service culture across the restaurant.
Requirements:
- Diploma or higher qualification in Business or Management or Hospitality or Supervisory
- work experience in the hospitality industry from 2 to 3 years
- Must have customer service work experience in the hospitality industry
- Able to work independently and manage the business
- Ability to multi-task and run a bar and restaurant
- Outgoing and engaging personality with great customer rapport
- Able to train and motivate staff
- Excellent level of communicatio

Responsibilities:
- Overall running and management of the business
- Responsibility to manage the restaurant operation independently and confidently
- Ensuring that company policy standards are upheld
- Organise marketing activities, such as advertising, promotional events, and so on
- Plan menus for the business as per the requirements in consultation with chefs
- Manage stock level, ordering and recording
- Correspond with suppliers and negotiate the price
- Managing wastage and controlling labour costs
- Make the staff roasters and handle all the correspondence with staff
- Hold functions as per the customer’s requirements
- Hire, train and coach staff and drive performance
- Ensure the staff are all well trained with liquor serving and rules are maintained well
- Handle all the financial and budgeting tasks for the business independently
- Ensure quality control and responsible for running shifts
- Ensure the business meets the health, hygiene and safety regulations
- Maintains a clean and aesthetic appearance of the business for the customers
- Direct and motivate a team within a busy restaurant
- Correspond with city council for required regulations
- Maintain the documentation as per the city council regulations
