Your Venue - ZA ZA TA Encounter the Exotic.
ZA ZA TA is a place where worlds and cultures collide amongst a sprawling, colonial backdrop and buzzing open kitchen focused on ethical eating and conscious cuisine. Executive Chef Michael Jackson (ex-NuNu Restaurant – Palm Cove) and the team are bringing the soulful vibe of Tel Aviv, a blend of Middle Eastern and Mediterranean cuisine, with a distinctly modern twist to centuries-old flavours. Our Kitchen is spearheaded by our Executive Chef Michael Jackson (ex-NuNu Restaurant – Palm Cove).

THE GIG

We are looking for a savvy Restaurant Manager to come on-board with us here at Ovolo. The role will be supporting the Food and Beverage General Manager with the daily operations of restaurant and bar functions. This role will suit someone who is looking to expand or take the next step in their career. This is a Full-Time gig and will require flexibility with working mornings, nights & weekends. Your responsibilities will include but are not limited to:

  • Assisting the F&B General Manager to ensure rostering is compliant with business demands and budgeted manning guides
  • On-boarding & training of all new and current staff. Ensure support is provided at all times
  • Handling reservations for both restaurant and bar, responding to all guest requests
  • Bring a creative element to the venue and work closely with F&B GM to curate quarterly promotions
  • Monitor all daily sales, ordering, and costs for the venue
  • Work in conjunction with other stakeholders to ensure smooth venue operations and functions
  • Coordinate regular team meetings, briefings and shift handovers to ensure effective communication between the team
  • Ensure high level of service is provided by team to all guests
  • Liaise with kitchen team in regard to menu changes, selling strategies, customer feedback and service issues
  • Ensure high quality in presentation of all food and beverages delivered to guests
