This job will push you to your limits and is only designed for those that have a burning desire to be a part of something truly unique. It comes with a large amount of responsibility and is also very customer facing, it is not office based and any back of house work is done in between service hours.
It is essential that you have experience working in management in a fresh food restaurant and the ability to learn at pace. With over 30 employees and over 2000 diners per month, you will be expected to adapt quickly to the environment and contribute in a positive manner towards maintaining existing standards and focusing on future development.
Responsibilities will include opening and closing the business, money handling and being responsible for the day to day running of the restaurant, as well as handling functions and events from enquiry stage to execution of the events . You will be expected to contribute to the training of staff, and help shape future policies as well as adhere to existing. We have high standards and are looking for someone to work closely with us to help maintain them as well as evolve into a better business.
Strong food and wine knowledge is required, WSET level 2 is preferred, where there are gaps training can be provided.
Being able to drive and having access to a car is required if outside of walking distance. No on site parking but street parking close by is available.
Restaurant hours begin at 10:30am and can run until 12am.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: £32,000.00-£40,000.00 per year
