Description:

Responsibilities:

  • To act as the subject matter expert for restructuring and insolvency, engaging with all stakeholders to support the achievement of the SME and Real Estate Divisional objectives.
  • Manage a team of Restructuring professionals.
  • Provide support to the Originators/Portfolio Managers where cases are identified with early warning signs and ensure appropriate action taken.
  • To communicate and escalate potential issues/risks in a prompt and effective manner.
  • To report all issues of regulatory concern to the Head of Credit and Restructuring and the Bank Legal and Compliance Departments.
  • Proactive identification of early warning signs in client interaction with Originator/Portfolio Manager.
  • Assess cases escalated by colleagues in the franchise, undertake due diligence, provide option analysis and agree strategy and tactics, case ownership and reporting requirements.
  • Ownership of presentation of strategies and provisions and Group Watch and Group Impairment Committees.
  • Case study assessment to identify lessons learnt for enhancement of either individual skills/knowledge or process/procedures/policy.
  • Report and present on the Credit Risk activities to all relevant Committees.
  • Providing support, education and training to staff on risk related issues.
