Description:

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a Resuscitation Support Facilitator to support our Resuscitation Officer working as part of the Clinical Effectiveness Team across NELFT.
We are looking for a highly motivated and enthusiastic registered health care professional who is comfortable working independently and as part of a team. Supporting colleagues in the development of clinical skills relating to resuscitation.
The post holder will support all aspects of resuscitation practice such as the management of the deteriorating patient, the effectiveness of DNACPR orders and training across the organisation.
As such will be expected to possess teaching experience, including planning, delivering, and evaluating teaching programmes.
Applicants for this post require resuscitation/critical care experience as there will be a clinical aspect to the role, attending cardiac arrest situations where possible. The post holder will also be expected to participate in policy review and auditing reported through Trust Governance.

Supporting the provision and development of a Resuscitation Service for NELFT Services

  • Act as an expert in resuscitation where appropriate providing advice on all aspects of resuscitation training, education, and practice.
  • To be a member of the Clinical Effectiveness Team and attend cardiac arrest/emergency calls.
  • Assist or lead on national/local audits and local policy development and projects.
  • To support the implementation Trust wide/departmental policies, procedures

Starting with NELFT
NELFT place a great deal of importance on new starters being properly welcomed and inducted into the Trust. All new starters will join the Trust on the first Monday of each month and will undertake a comprehensive induction of up to two weeks which will include mandatory training, systems training and the allocation of equipment. As part of the process new starters will have the opportunity to also meet the executive team, senior managers and attend a number of drop in sessions focussing in engagement, health and wellbeing and key processes. The induction will be held at our head office in Rainham, Essex.
Probationary Period
This post will be subject to a probationary period. Internal applicants are exempt from the probationary period (unless you are an internal applicant currently part way through a probationary period or currently a bank member of staff).
High Cost Area Supplement
This post also attracts payment for High Cost Area Supplement of 15% of the basic salary (with a minimum of £4,313 to a maximum of £5,436).
