JOB DESCRIPTION – RETAIL ASSISTANT

Department: Golf Shop/Gift Shop
Responsible To: Golf Manager
Contract Type: Seasonal
Liaises with: Front Office, Reservations, Locker Rooms, Guest Golf Services

QUALIFYING CRITERIA

• Good organisational skills.
• Customer focused.
• Operates to a very high-quality standard with a keen eye for detail.
• Strong team player with the ability to multi-task.
• Positive attitude, cheerful and courteous demeanour.
• Ability to work flexible hours.
• Ability to remain calm whilst under pressure.

MAIN DUTIES

• Sell merchandise in retail outlets.
• Advise members and guests about attire, golf clubs, supplies, etc.
• Arrange and display retail outlet inventory.
• Record all sales transactions.
• Collect and record green fees and cart rentals.
• Take messages for members who may be on the course.
• Assist in packing and unpacking inventory.
• Recruit tournament participants.
• Assist in special orders.
• Perform other ad-hoc duties as assigned.
