About the role
This role is part of a new small squad responsible for accelerating our digital comms ambitions in our retail store estate. Across our 500+ stores, we predominately use static printed POS and pricing and are looking at ways to improve and support our trading plans that will see us react, change and dial up how we reach customers in a more effective, impactive and adaptable way.
You’ll work on the strategy towards our strive to give customers an effective, informative and helpful journey across all Tesco Mobile store formats. Your role will be to understand digital communication as it stands and evolve this to be better placed for future delivery at scale. Through careful assessment, evaluation, and iterative learning you will work to define ‘what good looks like’ for TM in our existing main estate, new retail concept and unassisted space. You’ll work alongside the Campaigns and Retail Marketing Squad as part of the trade planning, and execution processes, from briefing and managing agencies to live testing in store.
You’ll consider the integration and efficiency of digital processes by reducing complexity and building this into existing and/or create new workflows across the business. As a close knit group you’ll lead the squad to self prioritise time and focus and with clear objectives for delivery. You’ll support through maintaining effective workflows and ceremonies to improve collaboration and output.
You will be responsible for
- Lead the Digital Acceleration plan for the Squad, working closely alongside the Digital Retail Marketing Expert
- Responsible for the overall plan and management of Digital Comms squad delivery
- Knowledge sharing of digital world within the retail sector from POS to point of purchase
- Responsible for testing and insight planning pre/during/post analysis
- Responsible for identifying scalable solutions for roll-out/estate adoption
- Maintain relationships with suppliers and agencies
- Handle associated budgets and financial performance
- To work within the Trade Marketing Squad as part of a wider Customer Acquisition Tribe
- Work with the internal stakeholder community
- Work across the Group to align and support plans
- Use Agile workflows and tools
- Integrate and support the execution of trade, brand and service digital POS
- Support Retail Marketing Experts to continuously evolve internal and external processes and ways of working
- Support Promotional Period/Retail Marketing budget and team financial processes
You will need
- Retail/Telecomms experience essential
- Digital/Retail Media experience required
- Strong attention to detail
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Ability to prioritise and adapt to change
- Ability to work as part of a team, and own initiative
- Effective communication skills
- Uses initiative to propose new insights
- Good knowledge of Excel and Powerpoint
- Car driver/travel required
- Retail Marketing/Marketing experience desired
- Experience working in a fast paced environment
- Ability to work under pressure to tight deadlines
