JOB MISSION:

We are looking for an experienced and dynamic Retail Marketing Manager to join our team. As a Retail Marketing Manager, you will be responsible for developing and implementing marketing strategies to drive customer engagement, craft innovative consumer marketing campaigns and activations, improve the profitability and enhance brand visibility within the New Balance store environment across EMEA. This role is located at the New Balance Amsterdam office.

MAJOR ACCOUNTABILITIES:

  • Plan and implement integrated marketing campaigns that drive instore traffic, conversion and brand loyalty.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to create compelling in-store campaigns, displays and activations and to ensure a seamless omnichannel experience across both online and instore NB retail.
  • Lead the execution of retail marketing activities around product launches in the EMEA region, ensuring effective roll out in collaboration with product, sales and local marketing teams.
  • Support the creation of marketing collateral, including signage, displays and instore materials.
  • Oversee digital marketing initiatives, including social media campaigns and email marketing, to drive online and offline traffic.
  • Analyse sales data and customer insights to optimize marketing strategies and improve campaign performance.
  • Collaborate with the Global and local retail teams, EMEA Retail Operations Manager, and New Balance Distributor Marketing Managers to ensure brand consistency and enhance the overall customer experience while integrating local nuance as needed.
  • Partner with Visual Merchandising teams to ensure consistent brand presentation across all retail locations. Ensure all retail marketing strategies are aligned with the Visual Merchandising guidelines.
  • Monitor and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns, providing insights and recommendations for improvement.
  • Manage and optimise EMEA Retail Marketing budget.
  • Conduct market research to stay informed about consumer behaviour, industry trends, competitive landscape, emerging technologies and best practices in marketing.

REQUIREMENTS FOR SUCCESS:

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Business or a related field.
  • Relevant experience in Retail Marketing in EMEA, with a focus on instore retail environments, with knowledge of visual merchandising and managing a team of retail marketing professionals.
  • Operational experience in the sports, lifestyle, and fashion sector.
  • Proven experience in leading and managing a team of retail marketing professionals, with strong interpersonal and coaching skills.
  • In depth knowledge of retail markets across EMEA, including a strong understanding of local consumer behaviour, cultural nuances, and retail landscapes.
  • Strong experience of creating and implementing winning campaigns across various retail formats for global brands.
  • Proven experience managing multiple large scale retail marketing projects simultaneously, with strong organizational and project management skills.
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross functional teams, including sales, merchandising, product development, and external partners.
  • Proficient in Excel, PowerPoint, and Keynote, and knowledgeable in Creative Suite.
  • A creative approach with the ability to develop innovative retail marketing campaigns that resonate with the regional audience and drive results.
  • Ability to engage and influence multiple stakeholders to achieve the objective.
  • Excellent presentation skills.
