Description:

We are currently looking for an experienced Operations Assistant to join our team at our retail shop. This role will support the smooth operation of both our physical store and eCommerce platforms. The ideal candidate will be proactive, organized, and skilled in managing inventory, customer interactions, and sales processes. REQUIREMENTS & SKILLS:

  • Proven Experience: Previous work experience as a Retail Sales Representative, Sales Associate, or similar role.
  • Understanding of Sales Processes: Solid knowledge of retail sales processes and customer behavior.
  • Inventory Management Skills: Experience in managing stock, including organizing inventory, monitoring stock levels, and handling reorders efficiently.
  • Basic Math Skills: Ability to handle simple math for pricing, discounts, and order processing.
  • Track Record of Sales Success: Demonstrated ability to achieve sales quotas and targets.
  • Excellent Communication Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills, able to build and maintain customer relationships.
  • Professional Phone Etiquette: Ability to handle customer calls with professionalism, clarity, and courtesy.
  • Email Correspondence: Proficient in responding to professional emails in a timely and appropriate manner.
  • Proactive Attitude: Ability to anticipate customer needs and proactively offer solutions.
  • Multitasking in Fast-Paced Environments: Able to work efficiently in a fast-paced retail environment, managing various tasks simultaneously.
  • Flexible Work Schedule: Willingness to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends.
  • Educational Requirements: High school diploma required; BSc in Marketing or related field is a plus.
  • Microsoft Office Proficiency: Comfortable using Microsoft programs (Word, Excel, Outlook, etc.) to manage customer data, emails, and reports.
  • Familiarity with eCommerce Platforms: Knowledge of online sales platforms (e.g., Shopify, Amazon, or company-specific platforms) and processes for managing online listings, stock, and orders.

Responsibilities:

  • Greet and Direct Customers: Provide a welcoming atmosphere and assist customers with inquiries, ensuring a positive experience.
  • Provide Accurate Information: Offer detailed information on product features, pricing, promotions, and after-sales services.
  • Answer Customer Questions: Address any inquiries regarding specific products or services to help customers make informed decisions.
  • Conduct Price & Feature Comparisons: Assist customers by comparing products to facilitate their purchasing decisions.
  • Cross-sell Products: Suggest additional products to enhance the customer’s purchase and increase sales.
  • Ensure Shelves Are Stocked: Maintain inventory on display racks, ensuring items are fully stocked and organized.
  • Manage Returns: Handle customer returns and exchanges in a courteous and efficient manner.
  • Coordinate with Retail Team: Collaborate with the Retail Sales Representatives team to maintain high service levels, especially during peak times.
  • Inform Customers About Offers: Keep customers updated on any discounts, special offers, and promotions.
  • Provide Feedback to Management: Report customer feedback, trends, and issues to the Store Manager for continuous improvement.
  • Stay Up-to-date with Products/Services: Continuously learn about new products and services to provide accurate, up-to-date information to customers.
  • Prepare Orders: Assist with the preparation of customer orders, including packaging and coordinating delivery.
  • Inventory Management: Track and manage stock levels, ensuring proper inventory organization, timely reordering, and minimizing stockouts or overstocking.
  • Daily Check on Sales Platforms: Perform daily checks on all sales platforms, including eCommerce sites and the physical store, to ensure product listings, stock availability, and customer orders are up to date and correctly processed.
