  • Demonstrated experience in a Retail Planning role for an apparel specialty retail brand
  • Ability to work in a fast paced environment
  • Range planning and forecasting experience
  • Strong analytical and numerical skills
  • High attention to detail and accuracy
  • Excellent computer literacy especially with Excel
  • Knowledge and experience with Qlikview and Epicor advantageous

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Plan and manage ideal inventory, sales and open to buy for seasonal and repeat seasonal product items for all Van Heusen retail stores. You will plan an ideal merchandise mix within stores and channels, ensuring stock levels are maintained and gross profit is achieved. Reporting to the Senior Director, Retail Planning, you will work alongside the buying function, assisting with achievement of budgeted sales and margins.
Based at our Head Office located in the heart of the CBD, located at 388 George Street 2000, this is a full-time, 12-month contract working from home and in the office on a weekly basis.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

  • OTB management and assortment planning
  • Inventory, markdown and margin management
  • Achieving critical financial targets such as sales, stock turn and sell through
  • Ownership of inventory levels and any action required e.g.: transfers
  • Attend range reviews with the buyers where applicable in order to understand the product with cognisance to the intended target market.
  • Detailed analysis down to SKU level across brand, category, design, colour and size
  • Prepare daily, weekly, monthly, seasonal and annual reports
  • Attend sales review meetings and present to senior management accordingly
