Description:
Federated Co-operatives Limited (FCL) is hiring a Retail Pricing Specialist on a temporary 18-month basis on our Consumer Products team. This position is a hybrid opportunity and is based in Saskatoon, SK.
Are you interested in working within a team to establish and maintain regular retail selling prices for assigned product categories for the Co-operative Retailing System (CRS) food and liquor stores? Through the application of pricing rules & strategies and analysis of competitive markets, you will aim to provide retail pricing so that local Co-ops can be competitive, profitable, and current within their market. WHO YOU ARE:
You are looking for a career in Sales & Marketing and:
- Have 3-6 years of relevant experience in the food and/or grocery industry.
- Have a bachelor’s degree in commerce, business, or marketing (a combination of relevant education and experience may be considered).
Responsibilities:
- Analyze and assign retail pricing as it pertains to Food departments by utilizing the Retalix HQ pricing software, any product changes in the mainframe such as cost change, category change, or new items that prompts the retail pricing specialist to review the prices.
- Review, determine, and maintain each price strategy and cost zone on an ongoing basis to ensure retails remain competitive within their markets .
- Conduct competitive price analysis of defined contentious products via price check lists that are sent out weekly to retail price checkers or Price checking software
- Assist and train retail food personnel on ‘Best Practices’ as it pertains to Point of Sale (Upload.net) and execution of central POS batches sent to retails.

The Team: You will work closely with the Food Category Development Manager, Category Managers, Category Management Specialist, POS and IT Department, and will report into the Senior Manager, Pricing & Promotions.
