We are recruiting for a Retail Supervisor to work five days a week at Tate Modern and Tate Britain.

Your responsibilities:

  • Support the daily running of retail operations, empowering and motivating the retail teams under the direction of the Retail Leadership Team
  • Providing exceptional customer experience by building rapport, engaging with our customers and responding to their needs; leading from the front to ensure our teams are doing the same
  • Maintaining a real focus of retail standards within the shops
  • Empowering the wider retail teams to execute KPI targets whilst motivating and line managing your own team
  • A proactive and flexible approach; in an everchanging environment you know the key to success is adaptability and a positive outlook

Our Ideal candidate:

  • You have experience as a retail supervisor, line management and motivating teams
  • You have experience of working with KPIs
  • You have excellent communication and collaboration skills and you excel when working as part of a team
  • You are passionate about providing an exceptional customer experience, you can engage with a diverse audience and use your initiative to deliver results
  • You are curious. You will find time to learn about our products, visitors and processes – using your knowledge to support your team and engage customers
  • You want to work in a shop that looks it’s best and you will take pride in maintaining high retail standards
  • You have experience of working and cashing up a till and can confidently and accurately handle money
  • You are flexible and happy to adapt to changes and help out where needed

  • You must be able to consistently work weekends, morning and evening shifts, as well as holidays
  • We have a variety of vacancies at Tate Modern and Tate Britain, and although you will be based at one site, you will need to be flexible across London
  • The role involves working delivery shifts that includes unloading, moving and unpacking stock
