As we continue to welcome visitors to the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary and grow our operations, we have an opportunity for an intuitive and hands-on Retail Supervisor to support our dedicated Retail Team including our busy outlets and park operations.

ABOUT YOU

To be successful in this role, you will have experience in Retail supervision, preferably within a multi outlet organisation. Other key skills & qualifications we are looking for include:

  • Ability to set clear goals, control resources & motivate Teams to achieve performance objectives & targets.
  • Experience with Team training to ensure excellent Guest service is delivered.
  • Strong visual merchandising skills with clear attention to detail which reflects in outlet presentation.
  • A self-motivated Team player who can communicate effectively with people from diverse backgrounds & cultures.
  • An understanding of stock control & inventory process with analytical ability to make informed decisions.
  • Works at a fast pace but always remains calm under pressure & is solutions orientated with a positive ‘Can Do’ attitude.
  • Able to meet the physical requirements of the role which will involve walking, pushing, pulling & lifting.
  • Willing to work in an outdoor environment, in all weathers, in a role that requires substantial walking in a workplace that contains animals including birds & reptiles.

Responsibilities:

ABOUT THE ROLE

Reporting directly to the Retail & Photography Manager, you will be a person who goes above & beyond to ensure continuous delivery of our process & service standards. In this hands-on role, you will lead, mentor and motivate our Team to ensure we deliver professional, efficient & friendly Guest service. You will be an experienced Retail professional with proven operations & leadership experience that offers support to the Retail Supervision Team. You will work across all 6 of the Currumbin Wildlife Sanctuary Retail outlets along with supporting our Photography Team across both day & evening trade opportunities.
You will have a natural sense of fun whilst being able to supervise, motivate & inspire. You will lead by example to ensure the Team deliver efficient and friendly Guest service. This role includes ensuring policies & procedures are met and WH&S service standards adhered to. This is a fast-paced environment where you will be available to assist the Team with core duties in a hands-on situation as required.
You will support the Leadership Team with roster maintenance, stock control & recruitment support. You will have the ability to create eye catching displays & layouts to drive incremental revenue along with maintaining outlet presentation within the desired visual merchandising benchmarks.
