Description:
Job Purpose: T he successful candidate will m anage and facilitate the distribution of fares with vendors in consultation with the MROs and Pricing analysts and develop fare distribution strategies and implementation time scales for stations that optimise and ensure a full range of fares is available at the time of published schedule. Design and implement quality control standards and review mechanisms that can be used for the review of auto-quote/pricing/ticketing functionality in MARS, GDS/CRS, EOL and other e commerce applications, etc.
QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE: IN ORDER TO BE CONSIDERED FOR THIS POSITION, YOU MUST HAVE:
- Degree or Honours (12+3 or equivalent)
- Certificate/diploma in international ticketing and fare construction from IATA, UFTAA or a recognised airline in-house training facility
- Certified by ATPCO in courses that pertain to the coding and electronic distribution of fares and rules
- 5 years’ experience in revenue management or a commercial department as well as experience in the use of ATPCO, Airfare, Infare, PROS, Group Handling, Software development
Responsibilities:
- Be accountable for achieving the committed accuracy KPI and Turn around times for all distribution actions
- Lead, influence and facilitate the requirements with vendors to pursue advancements/modifications in technology resulting in consultation with the MROs and Pricing analysts develop fare distribution strategies and implementation time scales for new stations that optimise and ensure a full range of fares is available at the time of published schedule
- Coach staff in ATPCO and other new products, system enhancements, processes, procedures and conduct formal training sessions for existing/new staff in any new procedures and applications that are introduced
- Develop implementation schedules for new stations that are synchronised with other internal and external distribution strategies and assign their implementation responsibilities to appropriate regional groups.
- Design and implement quality control standards and review mechanisms that can be used for the review of auto-quote/pricing/ticketing functionality in MARS, GDS/CRS, EOL and other e commerce applications, etc.
- Provide FQT technical expertise and inquiry support to the pricing distribution team, EK network - Sales, Call Centres, Airports, Rev Accounts, Legal, Commercial, Training, Emirates NDC etc - and ensure that the solutions are promptly and efficiently conveyed to avoid misinterpretation and mis-application that would negatively impact revenue and yield
- Review various revenue reports available within RO at a macro level enough to know the overall performance, strong v/s weak routes etc and translate these into recommendations for Market operations teams to review and plan initiatives and use PDs expertise to achieve the outcome needed
