Description:

EDUCATION:

  • Bachelor’s Degree

EXPERIENCE:

  • Over 5 years validated experience within wireless telecommunications industry planning, optimizing and designing wireless communication sites.
  • Advanced understanding of RF propagation principles, cellular theory, RF tools and antenna theory.
  • Extensive knowledge of cell site design and Radio network technologies

TECHNICAL SKILLS:

  • Strong Microsoft Excel skills.
  • High level proficiency using Atoll, NetAct (Nokia), IXUS, MapInfo, LSM, Power BI
  • Experience with propagation modelling

SKILLS:

  • Discretion and ability to deal appropriately with confidential data.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Strong analytical skills.
  • Strong time management and organization skills with high attention to detail.
  • Problem-solving and troubleshooting skills.

  • Travel when required to site to complete RF surveys
  • Field support, visiting sites to monitor installs
  • Abilityty to analyse market trends and customer data to inform site selection commercially.
  • Understanding of financial metrics and their impact on project feasibility and ROI.

Responsibilities:

  • Review potential new Icon development opportunities based on radio network key performance indicators
  • Liasing with operators to understand site network problems and potential new site solutions Icon can provide
  • Develop guidelines and internal process used for new site selection based on radio network design knowledge.
  • Produce Technical Justifications as part of Planning Application packs
  • Assist with Structure design and Equipment location approval based on RF technical knowledge.
  • Manage/track data in OneVizion (OV) with Forecast & Actual dates, updating notes regularly
  • Assist in the collation of information for SCIPs and TRMs
  • Regular reporting as required
  • Support Construction department on site surveys and compilation of Panoramic photos at agreed heights.
  • Prepare site Panoramics photos for inclusion into an Icon site presentation pack for MNO’s.
  • Work closely with cross-functional teams including site acquisition, construction, finance, to ensure cohesive project execution.
  • Communicate effectively with stakeholders to provide updates on site selection base, project status and expected performance metrics
  • Maintain up-to-date knowledge of any changing regulatory requirements and technological advancements
  • Review existing portfolio of rooftop/greenfield assets review for possible ICON development.
  • Review ICNIRP certification received from MNO
