Description:

ETL SYSTEMS LTD

ETL Systems Limited is an award-winning business specialising in designing and manufacturing RF equipment and infrastructure for the global satellite communications markets. ETL’s world-class products and custom-designed solutions are used globally, supporting various customers, from NATO governments protecting citizens to international broadcasters, satellite communications companies and telecom companies. With a highly skilled global team and over 35 years of experience, ETL Systems is experiencing an exciting period of growth and is seeking an RF Engineer to join our team!

KEY ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Design and development of RF circuits to meet agreed targets for performance, reliability, manufacturability, testability, cost, and timescales. This includes designs for RF over Fibre products as well.
  • RF analysis and simulation to ensure designs meet performance specifications (gain, linearity, VSWR, NF, spurious, etc).
  • Working closely with engineers from other disciplines (PCB, Mechanical, Electronics, Software, and NPI) to ensure a successful final product.
  • Design verification through extensive testing and capturing of results in the lab using equipment such as VNAs, Spectrum Analysers, Phase Noise Analysers, RE Power Sensors, Signal Generators, etc. working up to 67GHz.
  • Support to pre-sales engineers to work on new opportunities.
  • Technical support to NPI, production, and test when required.

Responsibilities:

This hands-on design role offers an exciting opportunity to delve into RF design at the discrete component level, spanning active and passive circuit design across a broad frequency spectrum from DC to Ka-band and beyond. It involves working on design concepts, simulations, and specification definition, as well as substantial laboratory-based development and tuning. You will take ownership of your designs and play a key role in the full product lifecycle, bringing products from concept to production.
