Description:
As RF System Engineer, you will join the Radio Frequency (RF) Technology Development team and will work on the definition, specification and pre-development of Radio Units used in Nokia’s next generation 5G-Advanced and 6G base stations.
You will be part of a highly motivated intercultural team that strives to shape the future of mobile communications by working on cutting edge technologies and innovations in product energy efficiency.
- define the future 5G-Advanced and 6G base station RF architecture
- create technology and innovations for RF design blocks in cooperation with partners from industry and academia, for example
- RF power amplifiers
- RF frontend components (passive and active)
- RF transceivers (including ADCs/DACs)
- RF power amplifier linearization and analog impairments correction algorithms
- collaborate with cross-functional teams on energy efficiency innovations
- determine system specifications and derive requirements for RF design blocks
- analyze different technical solutions regarding performance, cost, power consumption
- verify RF performance of component prototypes and design block prototypes
- Master of Science in Electrical Engineering, Telecommunications or equivalent area
- initial experience in RF design, e.g. RF Power amplifier, RF transceiver
- experience in linear and nonlinear RF circuit/system simulations using ADS, Matlab or similar tools
- hands-on experience with RF test and measurement equipment
- good communication in English (both written and spoken)
- good analytical skills and structured approach for problem solving
pro-activeness, creativity, and self-motivationgood interpersonal skills and capability to work in an international multi-site environment
It would be nice if you also had:
- knowledge of mobile/wireless network technologies and standards (3GPP, IEEE)
- understanding of beam-forming antennas and wave propagation
- programming skills (Matlab, Python)
