QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Proven experience in RFP/RFI management, proposal writing, or a similar role.
  • Strong writing, editing, and proofreading skills with a keen attention to detail.
  • Excellent organizational and project management abilities.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
  • Experience with RFP platforms Merx, SAP Ariba, VendorLine, Sam.gov, etc.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Review and analyze RFP/RFx documents to understand requirements, evaluation criteria, and submission deadlines.
  • Daily monitor Merx, SAP Ariba, VendorLine, Sam.gov, etc. for relevant RFPs. Facilitate informed go/no-go discussions with the management team
  • Develop and implement strategies for responding to RFPs/RFxs effectively and efficiently.
  • Coordinate with internal teams (sales, marketing, product, legal, finance) to gather necessary information and ensure a comprehensive response.
  • Write, edit, and format proposals to meet client requirements and enhance our competitive position.
  • Create compelling content that clearly communicates our value proposition and differentiates us from competitors.
  • Ensure proposals are submitted on time, with all required documentation and in the correct format.
  • Develop and maintain a repository of proposal templates, boilerplate content, and best practices.
  • Continuously refine proposal processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness.
  • Analyze feedback from clients and internal stakeholders to identify areas for improvement.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for RFP-related inquiries and clarifications.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather data, align strategies, and address any proposal challenges.
  • Maintain strong relationships with potential clients and partners throughout the proposal process.
  • Ensure all proposals comply with client requirements and company policies.
  • Maintain accurate records of proposal activities, deadlines, and outcomes.

SUCCESS FOR THIS ROLE WILL BE MEASURED BY:

  • Submit two (2) RFPs a week after.
  • Achieve a 20% RFP conversion rate in 6 months.
  • Achieve a internal proposal quality score of 75-85% over 6 months.
  • Effective cross functional collaboration with SMEs to source and draft proposal submissions.
  • Keep internal revisions within 2-4 revisions prior to approval to submit.
  • Author 1 (one) short(white)-paper per quarter.
